Tuvalu

Tuvalu (formerly known as the Ellice Islands) is an Polinesian island, in the Pacific Ocean. Tuvalu is between Australia and Hawai.The problem that the island have is that it may disappear completely, including its human, cultural and natural.Tuvalu has high tides and bad floods for six months each year.More than 4000 Tuvaluans live in New Zeland.Nearly one third of Tuvaluans have left Tuvalu.Imported food is very expensive in Tuvalu.

Language Biography

I've studied English since I was eight years old. In my school we began study it in third course.
In the first course of secoundary school we lernt the basic, the present simple, the present continious... The first year I had english in the optional subject. The following years I studied a lot of vocabulary and a little more of grammar .The fourth year I learnt more grammar.
I have spoken to a native outside school. I any time any native asked me in the street. I never was in a English-speaking country, but I want to visited one. I have never spoken to a native by e-mail.
I sometimes whatch films in english. But The 90% of my music is in english, I love the pop music in english.
Sometimes I leave messages on a blog in which I have to write in english.

Tell the time



IT'S + MINUTS + PAST/TO + HOUR




When the minuts not pass the 30, we put de word it's (minutes) "past" (hour)






 It's nine past ten








And when the minuts pass the 30 we put the word it's (minutes)"to" (hour) 






  
It's five to two








The quarter hours are expressed with the words it's "a quarter" past/to (hour)

 



 It's a quarter past nine








To tell the half hour we use the following expession It's " half past" hour.




It's half past three







To tell the exactly hour we use the expresion It's (hour) o'clock








It's nine o'clock







When you want to say the hours when you look a digital watch, you can tell the hour as you see.
